Your sites data is stored in two different ways. Your files are stored in the "File Manager" which uses folders. Your data, (text, pages, content location, etc.) is stored in a datatabase. All of our servers databases and site files are backed up daily. The daily backup is stored locally and off loaded to a remote location for security weekly. We suggest you save any files you may upload to the site (video, audio, documents etc.) on a local computer so you have a copy as your "backup".
Your "backup" is nothing more than storing the original files in a location locally. If there is any type of critical failure (hard disc beyond recovery, fire, flood) you would at least have your documents for reference. |
