I've got a user who needs to upload a weekly newsletter. We want to keep old copies available, so we're using one forum topic to include all newsletters, adding the new links at the top. (http://www.shlutheran.org/StaffPages/SchoolStaff/NanetteTondreSecretary/MenuandSchoolNews/tabid/287/Default.aspx)
The problem - I haven't figured out how to provide her with permissions to upload the PDFs through the editor, but that's okay. She can upload through My Files, then create the link. But...how should she select the location for the files? Once they are there, how does she create a link that will take users to the files?
Thanks, Jack!

I hope the solution we worked out is doing the job for you. I'll work on getting a breif tutorial out that will solve this issue for everyone. In a nutshell, use a more "public" instance of File Manger Pro to provide an area for uploading and acrchiving of documents and use the editor to insert links to those documents.

| This solution not only provides an answer to the current problem, it also provides a solution for keeping documents and other downloads available after the link itself is deleted. Archiving, if you will. |
