Using Categories
To realize the full potential of the News Articles module we first need to understand how to use categories to manage our content. By assigning articles to categories we can control how they are distributed throughout the site.
Categories are managed from the Admin Options screen.

Once there select Categories.

By default you should already have the following categories:
- Announcements-General
- Announcements-Church
- Announcements-School
- News-General
- News-Church
- News-School
You can add as many categories as you require. For this tutorial we will work with these six.
To add a new category select Add New Category.

From this screen, enter the name of your new category and select Update.

Now that we have all of our categories in place lets look at how we can use them to distribute content throughout the site.
