The Announcements module is configured for use when it's installed. The only thing you may want to change is how it displays your content. By default, the date the announcement is added is included in the announcement.

To configure the module hover over the Action Arrow and select Settings

Expand the Announcement Settings

Remove the text that is highlighted below which references the publish date.

Make sure your text looks like the below!

Select Update and your done!
